31- 32- THEY SAID: GLORY TO YOU, WE HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE EXCEPT WHAT YOU
TAUGHT US, YOU KNOW 33- HE (ALLAH) SAID: O What
are the names Allah the Highest taught Adam, we can not tell with
certainty. Some say it means the names
of all angels, and some say the names of every thing. It might even be referring to all knowledge
one needs. Only Allah knows. Then
Allah the Highest challenged the Angels to tell Him these names which they
could not, because Allah the Highest did not tell them. This is a reminder to us that all knowledge
has one source and one only, Allah, Who also said : “HE (ALLAH) TAUGHT Allah
the Highest endows some people with more knowledge than others. The most precious knowledge is the knowledge
of Allah Himself. Indeed, the more one
knows Allah the more he/she will fear him, as He said: “AMONG HIS SLAVES,
THE KNOWLEDGABLE FEAR ALLAH MOST”.
(S: 35 A: 28) Allah
the Highest also reminds the Angels that nothing in the Heavens or in the Earth
is hidden from Him “THERE IS NOTHING HIDDEN FROM HIM IN THE EARTH Even
our thoughts and intentions which, are not known to any person when we keep
inside us, are know to Allah, for to Him we are open books. He said: “ And
also said: “OUR LORD, YOU KNOW WHAT WE HIDE And
through Jesus, peace is upon him: “YOU KNOW WHAT IS INSIDE ME, BUT I DO NOT
KNOW WHAT IS INSIDE YOU, FOR YOU KNOW Allah
the Highest knew all that is hidden particularly the feelings of Satan who
refused to prostrate to Adam when Allah commanded him and the Angels to do so. Satan
is not an Angel; he is a Jinni, who was so close to Allah the Highest that he
was with the Angels. Angels can not
disobey Allah the Highest for they have no will of their own; they just do what
they are commanded to do. Humans and Jinn
have choice and have their own will, and therefore they will be judged on the
Day of Resurrection.
