Baqarah
266 266- WOULD ONE OF YOU LIKE TO HAVE A GARDEN OF PALM TREES AND VINE
TREE, WITH RIVERS FLOWING UNDERNEATH, WHERE HE HAS ALL KIND OF FRUIT, THEN
BECAME OLD, AND HIS OFFSPRING ARE WEAK, AND THEN IT IS STRUCK BY HURRICANE WITH
FIRE THEREIN, WHICH BURNED IT DOWN. SUCH
ALLAH IS MAKING HIS AYAHS CLEAR SO THAT YOU MAY THINK. This
is another Ayah giving a Parable which shows” 1-
That
a charity bears fruit when one needs it most. 2-
The
Charity always bears fruit, regardless of how much, but there is always a
generous produce. Allah
the Highest gave us a parable. That the
charity is like a garden of fruit trees on top of a hill, so always enjoying
plenty of moisture and good weather.
Either watered with heavy rain to double its harvest or just the Dew and
it will still enjoy a good harvest. Allah
the Highest simulated the garden owner situation of that of an old man with
weak offspring, which makes him helpless, as we will all be on the Day of
Resurrection. We will not be able to
help ourselves or increase our fortune, for it will all be in Allah’s hands. With
a fruit tree garden in such a good and productive state, comes a word of
torment or reminder of the charity to destroy every thing. It is like Hurricane with lightening which
destroys the whole garden not leaving one tree standing. No fruit or harvest shall be gained from that
garden which was once fruitful. Such is
the effect of the words or reminder or torment on our charity.
