Baqarah
268 268- SATAN THREATENS YOU WITH POVERTY AND COMMANDS YOU TO DO EVIL,
WHILE ALLAH PROMISES YOU FORGIVENESS FROM HIM AS WELL AS BOUNTY, FOR ALL IS ALL
EMBRACING AND KNOWS ALL THINGS. Satan
tries to stop us spending in the cause of Allah. Satan uses these methods: 1-
Satan
frightens us of poverty if we spend in Allah’s cause, that the money we spend
will be a great loss, which will not be replaced. 2-
Satan
encourages people to spend in doing evil.
Beautifies and glamorizes sinful deeds, which have a characteristic of
making a great deal of money vanish, like gambling, drinking, drugs, illegitimate
relationships etc. 3-
Satan
always tells us that this life is all we have.
Therefore we should always try and enjoy every thing in it, regardless
of what it is. Allah
the Highest warns us about Satan’s ploys, therefore we can not claim on the Day
of Judgment that we have not been told.
In the mean time, Allah the Highest promises us forgiveness and bounty
from Him as reward for our charity. As
well as the generous rewards of charity, Allah the Highest rewards us for
charity by forgiving our sins. Allah’s
messenger prayer and peace upon him said: “Sadaqah
(charity) puts out sin as water puts fire out” (B: Zakah; 23 & T:
Eman; 8 & Ma: Fetan; 12 & A: 3; 321) Also
Allah the Highest promised us that charity will never decrease our wealth,
saying “WHATEVER GOOD YOU SPEND, HE (ALLAH) WILL REPLACE IT, FOR HE (ALLAH) IS
THE BEST OF THE PROVIDERS”. (S: 34 A: 39) Allah’s
messenger prayer and peace upon him said: “Charity
never diminishes wealth” (M: Ber; 69 & T: Ber; 82 & Mal:
Sadaqah; 12 & Da: Zakah; 34) Whenever
Satan works on us, Allah the Highest helps us to fight him. We should try to be aware of the ways Satan
tempts us. We should know and feels
Satan’s temptations and whisper unto us.
When we do, we should seek Allah’s protection from Satan, and this
protection will certainly be forthcoming for Allah the Highest said: “AND WHENEVER YOU ARE PULLED BY SATAN, ASK FOR ALLAH’S
PROTECTION, FOR HE HEARS AND KNOWS ALL THINGS” (S: 41 A: 36) B: Bukhari M: Muslim Mal: Malek A: Ahmed D: Abu
