Baqarah 269 269- ALLAH GRANTS WISDOM TO WHOM HE WILLS. INDEED, HE WHO IS GRANTED THE WISDOM, HE HAS
BEEN GIVEN A GREAT DEAL OF GOODNESS, BUT ONLY THOSE OF SOUND MINDS KNOW IT. The
Wisdom is the special understanding and knowledge of Allah and from Allah which
is granted to whom Allah pleases. Allah
the Highest granted this Wisdom to His prophets and messengers prayer and peace
upon him. Granted the Wisdom to Mohamed
prayer and peace upon him “AND WE SENT UNTO YOU
A MESSENGER FROM AMONGST YOU, RECITING OUR AYAHS TO YOU, PURIFYING YOU, AND TEACHING YOU THE BOOK AND THE WISDOM, AND
TEACHING YOU WHAT YOU DID NOT KNOW” (S:2 A:151) And
granted David peace upon him the Wisdom “AND
DAWOOD (DAVID) KILLED GALOOT (GOLIATH) AND ALLAH GAVE HIM THE KINGDOM, AND THE
WISDOM, AND TAUGHT HIM WHAT HE (ALLAH) WISHED” (S: 2 A: 251) And
granted Jesus peace upon him the Wisdom “ AND ALLAH WAS TEACHING HIM THE BOOK, THE
WISDOM, THE TORAH AND THE ENGEEL” (S: 3 A: 48) And
granted Ibrahim and his children peace upon them the Wisdom “WE HAVE GIVEN THE FAMILY OF IBRAHIM THE BOOK AND THE
WISDOM AND WE HAVE GIVEN THEM A GREAT KINGDOM” (S:4 A:54) And
Solomon peace upon him was granted the Wisdom, Allah the Highest said about him
“AND WE STRENGTHENED HIS KINGDOM, AND GRANTED
HIM THE WISDOM” (S: 38 A: 20) Also
granted the Wisdom to Loqman (there is not an agreement that he was a
prophet). Allah the Highest said about
him: “AND WE HAVE GIVEN LOQMAN THE WISDOM, GIVE
THANKS TO ALLAH” (S: 31 A: 12) Indeed,
Allah the Highest gave all the prophets and messengers peace upon them all, the
Wisdom. Allah the Highest said: “AND ALLAH TOOK THE COVENANT OF THE PROPHETS (SAYING):
‘AS I HAVE GIVEN YOU THE BOOKS AND THE WISDOM, THERE WILL COME TO YOU A
MESSENGER, CONFIRMING WHAT YOU HAVE, YOU SHOULD BELIEVE IN HIM AND SUPPORT HIM”
(S:3 A:81) The
Wisdom for us now is all there is in Allah’s Book, the Quran the Teachings and
Example of His messenger prayer and peace upon him. It is their deep understanding and
comprehension of their aims and reasons.
Allah’s
messenger prayer and peace upon him said: “There
should be no jealousy between Muslims except concerning two things; a man Allah
has given wealth which he spends righteously, and a man Allah has given wisdom,
he uses to judge and teach”
(B:Ahkam;3 & M:Mosafreen;268 & Ma:Zohd;22 & A:1;385) Indeed,
wisdom is the gift to the prophets and messengers and is what we should learn
from them, peace upon them all. It is
what distinguishes a man from another. It
is Allah’s gift to us. B: Bukhari M: Muslim Mal: Malek A: Ahmed D: Abu
